New members, whether experienced players or absolute beginners, are most welcome to apply for membership. You will find that the existing members are very friendly, approachable and willing to assist you whenever you feel that you need guidance.

The rules of the Club stipulate that you must be introduced to the Club by an existing member and that your application must be prominently displayed on an appropriate notice board for one week. Following this, your application will be placed before the Management Committee for final confirmation of acceptance.
If you have never played flat green bowls and wish to learn the game, the Club invites you to participate in a mandatory six lesson training course in the indoor hall, during which you will be instructed in the necessary techniques and etiquette of the game by our coaching team who are accredited under the English Bowls Coaching Scheme. All necessary equipment, including bowling shoes, will be provided by the Club. At the end of the course and subject to a favourable assessment by the coaching team, you will
be eligible to apply to become a full playing member. The course fee is £10.00, but this will be deducted from your initial membership fee if you should decide to join.
The Club hosts an open day each year, during which members of the general public may participate in an escorted tour of the Club’s facilities and try their hand at indoor bowling. The 2008 date for this is Saturday, 26th July between 10.00am and 2.00pm .
2008 Membership Fees
Annual Membership Fee: £15.00 which all members must pay, due on 1st April
Playing Subscriptions: Outdoor season: - £90.00, payable on 1st April
Summer Indoor: - £30.00, payable on 1st April
Winter Indoor : - £80.00, payable on 1st September
Annual Club Car Park Fee: £24.00 per annum, due on 1st April (Optional)
One-off Joining Fee: £30.00 (playing) : £10.00 (non-playing)
