If you have never played flat green bowls and wish to learn the game, the Club invites you to participate in a six lesson training course in the indoor hall, during which you will be instructed in the necessary techniques and etiquette of the game by our coaching team who are accredited under the English Bowls Coaching Scheme. All necessary equipment, including bowling shoes, will be provided by the Club. At the end of the course and subject to a favourable assessment by the coaching team, you will be eligible to apply to become a full playing member. The course fee is £10.00, but this will be deducted from your initial membership fee if you decide to join.
The Club hosts open days each year, during which members of the general public may take an escorted tour of the Club’s facilities and try their hand at bowling.
Dates for 2010 are: Sunday, 25th April from 10.00am to 3.00pm
